Scribbled Scribble

The small things in life in a few paragraphs and snapshots

Makassar

Hello, hellow! 😀

Trust everyone is well and enjoying your weekend. I am also fine. I caught cold earlier this week, but I am well now. I returned to my running routine yesterday after a week of absence and will restart my long-abandoned swimming routine tomorrow.

Last weekend, I visited Makassar, a city in South Celebes, an island in Eastern Indonesia. It is famous for the shipmakers, sailors and explorers. Makassar is also a port city well-known for its delicious cuisine. Since this Monday is Indonesia’s Independence Day, I had the opportunity to see how people in Makassar celebrate August 17. It was quite fun to take pictures of the city parade.

So, here are the photos. Have a great weekend, everyone!

Hello Again!

Hello! 😀

It has been ages since I wrote you guys! How have you all been? I hope you are all doing well and happy. I am also well and happy. I have been wanting to write you guys for a long time. But, recently I have new interests in my life. Firstly, remember that I was doing renovations on my house? Well, it is now live-able 😀 I have been spending weekends at that house. I still cannot make up my mind about the kitchen, which means I haven’t got a kitchen yet 😀 so, more renovation coming! Secondly, because I have a sizable backyard, I tried learning gardening. I bought flower seeds: lavender, snapdragon and petunia. But, first attempt just failed. They grew for a month, then died. Not sure what happened because I watered them everyday. I am not giving up though, I still have some seeds left. So, I will give it another try.

You probably wondered where I traveled. I did travel earlier this year — to Japan. I loved it! I think it is one of the most beautiful countries in the world and I might come back sometime too. I came right on cherry blossom time there. So, it was magical!

Here are the photos I took in Japan. Have a great weekend ahead and write me back! 🙂
