Scribbled Scribble

The small things in life in a few paragraphs and snapshots

Weekly Photo Challenge: Color

One of my favorite filter in my Olympus EP3 is Dramatic Tone, which accentuates colors in, well, a dramatic way. I took this when wandering around Taikang Road in Shanghai, China. It is the window of an art shop that has become a go-to place if I ever return there.

Postcard from Shanghai

Hello there 🙂

I hope all is well with you and you got past Monday unscathed 😀

I missed last Friday’s note! I was in Shanghai and had a great time with my friend who showed me around the city. I took lots of photos and sharing some of them here. Since I’ve got quite a few, I’m gonna let the pictures tell the story of my trip. On Saturday, another lovely friend took me to see Hangzhou. So, this Friday, I’ll send the second note of the week with snapshots from Hangzhou.

Here are the pictures. Have a great working week to all (and happy birthday to my good friend RA and Mr Goofiest in the world).

This art shop at Taikang Road is now my favorite in the world. I had to restrain myself not to buy so many cute accessories!

Rum raisin cheese cake! The cafe’s name is Glismatten, at Taikang Road. They also serve some really good tea. And I love the mug too.

I stood for about an hour at a good spot to make sure I got good night photos of the buildings across the Bund. It was pretty crowded with people.

A giant alluminum (?) ball at Shanghai Art Museum. I’m not sure what the artist wants to convey, but it looks good on my camera.

A statue at Jade Buddha Temple. You can see that it’s a bit out of focus. It is a big tall statue, I had to use zoom and held the camera up, so hands were pretty shaky.

A closer look at the Pearl Tower the second night.
